Wow Summer

Summer has been overwhelmingly busy for me. I've done so much that it doesn't even feel like it is still May. For once, summer isn't dragging on. The first Thursday since my return, and every Thursday following, Jarred and I have traveled to Gainesville to go to a club and watch a drag show. The first Thursday I went, a guy was kind of checking me out and I'm kind of disappointed I didn't actually go and talk to him. Oh well. I haven't seen him since and if I had gone and talked to him then I probably wouldn't have had the chance to meet Chris P. the next Thursday. Well, we didn't actually meet that Thursday but we danced and he asked to take a picture with me. I didn't find out his name until after when his friend kind of drunkinly walked up to us asked if we were single and gave us his name. So the next day I looked him up on Myspace and Facebook and I wasn't going to add him but I read his profile and discovered that we really had a lot in common. We chatted some on Facebook and I started falling for him. He ended up staying the night that Tuesday and I introduced him to Legally Blonde the Musical. Nothing happened except when he left he pecked me twice on the lips. It was magical.

The next Thursday, Jarred and I decided to go early to Gainesville to hang out with Chris and his friends before going to the club. Chris was late getting to his own house because he had to take his friend home and this upset Jarred. I convinced Jarred that things would get better and that did. I stayed with Chris Thursday and Friday night and he took me home on Saturday. Thursday night we had a really wonderful make-out session. Friday, Chris and I went to his family's house (about 45 minutes away) to do some work, picked up his sister, picked up his friend (who lives in the same city), took his friend to a church, went back to Chris' house, back to the church to pick up his friend and then to see Prince Caspian. It was a really long day. When we got back, we played some Cranium and then went to Chris' room so he and his friend could watch videos on YouTube. I'll admit I was kind of upset and jealous that he spent more time on his friend when he sees her all of the time. Finally, after several hours, I had a chance to talk to him about it even though I knew I shouldn't have but things immediately got better. I certainly don't have a good record with relationships and I didn't want another to fail over something petty before it even got started.

He took his friend, his sister and me home the next day. We talked quite a bit on the way home. It was, after all, a two hour drive. When he got to my place, we napped and cuddled for a bit and then sadly it was time for him to go. I missed him before he even pulled out of my yard. I watched him pull away and he didn't get very far before he stopped in the road. I had no idea what he was doing but there was a turtle in the road and he stopped to take a picture. So, we said our good-byes again and somehow that event made me miss him less. I certainly didn't mind missing him less because it really does hurt to miss someone. I really do like him and I really do hope it progresses farther.

Well, other than Gainesville, Joanna and I went to Panama City for my cousin's wedding the Saturday and Sunday after my second Gainesville trip. I thought it would have been really awkward seeing that side of the family again after so long but everyone really had a good time. Everyone was so excited to finally see me again. Then, that Sunday night I stayed with Jarred. Woke up early the next morning so Maggie and I could drive to Auburn for a night to visit one of her friends. It was a very eventful week. And then the next Monday, two days after Chris left my house, I spent the whole day at Suwannee with my mom, Aunt Margo and her family. It was quite fun. Other than those trips, I've mostly been lounging and hanging out with friends and such. This has probably been, so far, one of the best summers of my life and it's not even 1/3 over yet. <3
